Fishing the Cowlitz has been pretty grim this week. Not much pressure on the river. The beginning of the week the river got some muddy color to it. It is starting to filter out now. We are at a merky dark green. Still running around 12,000CFS. The hatchery took over 2,000 coho in last week. We still have fish coming in. The weather has been cold and foggy. The few fishermen fishing are getting some nice coho. Most are using all hardware. Twitching Jigs, Wicked Lures, Blue Fox spinners and corky and yarn. They are buying a variety of colors. No boats have been out that I am aware of.
Fishing in the area has been like I say pretty grim this week. Prior to this week South County Park in Toledo was doing good. A lot of nice trout were caught. South County Park was stocked again with nice trout.
Happy Holidays and Stay Warm.
