Fishing on the Cowlitz
has improved.
We are seeing nice summer run steelhead which are running 3-4 pounds heavier
than previous years, both boat and bank fishermen are being successful
Boat anglers are free drifting and pulling plugs or diver and bait. Coons
Shrimp have been doing again this year. Bank fishermen are using the usual
~ shrimp, corky & yarn and jig and bobber. Some guys are putting a
piece of shrimp on with their jig.
The water is still high 10,400 cf you do have to adjust at times with
the water height.
If you prefer lake fishing. Mayfield, Riffe and Swofford pond are producing
nice fish.
Take a day, go fishing and relax.
